Abstract
ABSTRACT: Maxillofacial defects resulting from surgical interventions such as hemimaxillectomy and hemimandibulectomy, particularly when complicated by microstomia, present significant challenges in prosthetic rehabilitation. This case report details the successful management of such patient utilizing magnets, alongside an obturator fabricated from heat-cure acrylic resin to overcome impression-making difficulties. The resulting prosthesis effectively restored function, improving mastication, speech, and esthetics, thereby enhancing the patient’s quality of life.
